How WiFi & Wanderlust started
My first solo trip was four days in Jamaica in my mid twenties. It was equal parts excitement and anxiety. Then a few years later, after negotiating a remote position, I took a leap most people thought was a little crazy: a nine-week solo trip around the world. I traveled across Southeast Asia and Europe as a digital nomad, learning firsthand how empowering it can be to navigate unfamiliar places on your own. Since then, I’ve traveled solo to more than 23 countries. And I’ve learned two things:
1. the world is far more welcoming than the headlines suggest.
2. the difference between a stressful trip and an incredible one always comes down to preparation.
That’s why I created WiFi & Wanderlust.
I want to help anyone, from digital nomads to retirees or empty nesters, achieve their travel dreams and realize they can do it solo. The other solo travelers I’ve met along the way inspired me each in their own way. Over the combined trips, I gained the confidence (and experience) to become a travel advisor in 2026. Joining the Fora Advisor community was the best decision, it provides professional access and support without the pressure of monthly quotas. It also provides the freedom to only work with those who share my values.
My goal is simple - help travelers plan trips that feel exciting and personally prepared so you can focus less on logistics and more on experiencing your destination.
Solo travel isn’t about being alone, it’s about discovering what becomes possible when you trust yourself to explore.
